drinks. We depart Mansfield Visitor
Information Centre or local accommodation venues at
4pm, travelling along the Mt Buller Road turning off
at Mirimbah. Following the Stirling Road past
Telephone Box Junction this tour joins the Circuit
Road calling into Razorback Hut, an original
cattlemen’s hut. The tour then continues to Craig’s
Hut where we take some time out to enjoy the
spectacular profile of Mt Cobbler (1628m). The tour
then travels along the rugged ridgeline to the
summit of Mt Stirling (1747m) where we settle down
to a scrumptious BBQ dinner in time to view the
sunset over Mt Buller (1804m). Our return journey takes us down through the stands of regal Mt Ash, and snow gums with their white trunks highlighted by the sidelights of the Oka (a truly unique sight especially if there is low mist). We rejoin the Circuit Rd at Howqua Gap and continue on to Mansfield arriving at the Visitors Centre at approx 10pm. Tour Details |
