Our Story So Far
On the 23rd February 2004, High Country Scenic Tours purchased the local 4WD business “Alpine 4WD Tours” from Joan & Stephen Ferguson. Their business was highly regarded in the Mansfield area and it is with pride that we have

continued to maintain their high standard and attention to detail that set Alpine 4WD Tours apart. So much so that recently High Country Scenic Tours was featured on the popular travel show Coxy’s Big Break, where Coxy referred to our 4WD Oka as the “UGLY Bus” (we have had so many bookings over that throw away line- good work Coxy!) We have also assisted with the Channel Nine Car Show acting as guides during the testing of 4WD vehicles in the High Country.

To maintain the high standards that the public has come to expect from our local tourism industry, High Country Scenic Tours has completed the Better Business Program, and is an active supporter of the Mansfield Historical Society, Victorian High Country Huts Association, Kosciusko Huts Association, Australian National 4WD Radio Network (VKS-737) and Tourism Alliance Victoria.

High Country Scenic Tours is also a Parks Victoria Accredited Licensed Operator.

4WD tours have become a mayor component of our business, so much so that we have recently purchased a second 4WD Oka. The rugged terrain of the high country demands that our vehicles are tough and dependable. All our 4WD off road vehicles are air-conditioned, fitted with seat belts and are forward facing. Each vehicle is equipped with a first aid kit, UHF Radio and carries ample spare water.
