Howqua Gap Hut. Heading
up Mt Stirling, we pause to appreciate the
breath-taking views from the summit, then drop down
to the fascinating film set known as Craig’s Hut,
where we enjoy a sumptuous lunch. Ascending to the
Circuit Road once more, we travel along Speculation
Road to the magnificent King River and King Hut.
Back on Speculation Road, we climb The Staircase and
skirt Wabonga Plateau and Mt Cobbler to the
beautiful Cobbler Lake. A 15 minute walk takes us to
Dandongadale Falls (Victoria’s highest). Crossing
the King Basin, we head for home via Blacks Landing
up on to the Circuit Road returning through
Telephone Box Junction on our way back to Mansfield.
° 10 hours. ° From 9am- 7pm. ° Morning tea, barbecue lunch and afternoon tea included. $150 p/p ° This one's a long day and is not recommended for the children. |
